With a single-minded pursuit to spread the light of quality education among the middle class, the idea of establishing DPS STS School Dhaka was mooted by the visionaries of STS Group and consequently it was established in 2009. It is a collaborative venture between the STS Group, one of the most prestigious corporate houses in Bangladesh, and the Delhi Public School Society (DPSS), a pioneer in education since 1949 with over 139 schools in 11 countries worldwide. This Global Network, with its transcontinental identity, is not merely a list of institutions, persons or facts, it is a network of values, systems and relationships.
To establish schools of eminence imparting quality education, The Delhi Public School Society is committed to fulfilling its objectives with an enviable degree of success. In a journey spanning just over half a century, the DPS Society has emerged as one of the largest educational societies of the world. While adhering to the time tested values that foster excellence, DPSS has the flexibility to keep pace with the changing times and adopt modern educational practices in vogue. A large measure of this success is owed to its distinguished and enlightened Board of Governors who have had the foresight and vision to enable the Delhi Public Schools to reach great heights.

The School is located in a landscaped campus area of 3 Bighas at Plot 4, Sector 6, Road 13, Shahajalal Avenue, Uttara Model Town, Dhaka. The school is following the Cambridge curriculum, and it is also a registered Examination Centre of the Grade X IGCSE & Grade 12 A Level Examinations.
The School offers a wide range of subjects in Science, Commerce and Humanities as well as wide exposure with hands-on projects, sports, cultural activities, literary activities, excursions, computers and community service.
The very first session of the school commenced in Aug'2009 with 800 plus students.

Martial Art Championship
ACHIEVEMENT OF THE STUDENTS OF DPS STS SCHOOL, DHAKA
Grade 4 students of DPS STS School, Dhaka participated in the 9th National (all style) Martial Art Championship-2011 held on 12th and 13th Dec at NSC Gymnasium, Paltan, Dhaka and received medals.
They also participated in the 2nd Fazilatunnesa Mujib International Martial Art championship-2012, which was held on 10th Jan to 13th
Jan at NSC Gymnasium, Paltan, Dhaka. More than 300 contestants from
Bangladesh, Jordan, Syria, Yemen, Palestine, Denmark, Nepal and India
participated. Naila Ahsan, Fawzia Fariha Khan, Nahian Shams Khan and
Masiat Mohammad Momshad participated and won Bronze medals.

DPS STS will follows a pattern of 16 years of schooling comprising the following:
4 years of Preparatory Schooling (Play group, Nursery, Junior KG & KG).
10+2 years of Primary, Secondary & Senior School
Medium of Instruction: English.
DPS STS School Dhaka believes in "Learning by doing" and follows the methodology where an intellectually challenging academic programme both inside and outside the classrooms is offered.
Our goal will be to ensure that every pupil gives his or her
best and we will achieve this through small class sizes of 30 pupils, and close
monitoring of each pupil’s progress. Academic standards will be high and will
be fostered through a sense of purpose and a positive working environment. Well
qualified & experienced teachers have been appointed, who are knowledgeable,
capable of using innovative teaching methodology with a passion for
their subject as well as providing knowledge, guidance and motivation to the
pupils.
We are going to help, guide, motivate & prepare the
students for IGCSE Cambridge International Diplomas (Age group 14 - 16 years)
& subsequently for the A level (Age Group 16 -18 Years).
Emphasis is put on study skills so that pupils become independent learners and become self-reliant. Excellence is fostered in a stimulating yet supportive environment and pupils learn to research and extend their knowledge, engaging in individual projects, group work and presentations.
